Olivia and Josh’s wedding at Alderbrook Resort on Hood Canal truly embodies Pacific Northwest luxury. With unseasonably beautiful fall weather and the Olympic Mountains on full display, these two were blessed with incredible backdrop for their day.

The day began with Josh getting ready with his groomsmen, dad, and father-in-law by his side. For the bride, a cottage on site provided the perfect setting to prepare for the day. Olivia was surrounded by her bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, and her grandmothers as all of the details came together.

Outside her cottage, Olivia shared a tender moment with her adoring father amongst the cedar trees. Stepping out onto fall leaves, as shadows crept and golden light trickled in through the trees, Olivia looked stunning in her Dulce gown By Watters paired with a cathedral veil. Josh, wearing a midnight pin dot tuxedo from The Black Tux, turned slowly for a very sweet, smile-filled first look together.

Alderbrook's grounds gave us the perfect earthy elements and pops of color for portraits of our couple, telling their story through their shared love of nature in the Pacific Northwest.


As we wandered the grounds, we captured moments stippled in golden light and shadows. Olivia and her bridesmaids in black dresses and Josh with his groomsmen looking sharp in black suits, created memorable moments together against the lodge and the scenic waterfront.

The ceremony took place under draped a white marquee tent on the resort lawn, with subtle warmth added by chandeliers and votive candles down the aisle. A white birch Chuppah covered in breathtaking autumn florals inspired by the lush greenery of the PNW with accents of burgundy, maroon, and oxblood installed by Brier + Ivy, created the canopy our couple said their vows beneath, symbolizing the new home they'll create together. Olivia's bridal bouquet mirrored the colors and textures of the canopy to tie the mood together as she made her way down the aisle.


To close out their ceremony, our couple participated in the breaking of a glass by foot, symbolizing the breaking down of barriers between people of different cultures and faiths. After the glass was broken guests joyfully yelled “Mazel Tov,” wishing the happy couple "good luck!" It was a beautiful and heartfelt moment for everyone.

After the ceremony, Oliva and Josh snuck away for a few portraits on Alderbrook's waterfront dock while guests enjoyed an oyster shucking bar, lavish charcuterie boards, passed appetizers, with signature cocktails and a full service bar. After photos, Olivia and Josh spent time mingling with their guests, embracing joy filled moments, and enjoying the connection and merriment.

The evening moved into dinner where speeches were made by the bride and grooms parents and members of the wedding party, toasting the happy couple. Olivia and Josh gave a heartfelt thank you to their cherished guests which was deeply felt throughout the room, highlighting the love of their community, before moving on to their cake cutting and kicking off the evenings' celebrations.

The couple shared their first dance to "That's How Strong My Love Is" by Otis Redding, followed by parent dances that had everyone smiling (and a little misty.) Another personal moment came during the reception with the Jewish Hora Dance which brought the energy to the next level. With the cigars breaking out and the bride's gown transitioning to party mode, Magnolia Rhapsody (DJ Beaux) & Baby Cakes Band ensured the celebratory vibes were high all night long!

From their intimate first look to the thoughtful details painted across the day - the autumnal florals, sharing love letters, the toasts from the heart - the depth of their love for one another and the people who they have chosen to surround themselves with, was undeniable. Highlighting the landscape of the Pacific Northwest, their day was a beautiful representation of them as a couple: intentional, lighthearted and deeply rooted in community.
