Two Septembers ago, I was at the Washington State Fair (the Puyallup Fair to those who know it best!) shooting a styled elopement... Little did I know that Candise + Brendan were there, too, and that a few months later I'd be shooting their engagement session at Pike Place Market and then their wedding in 2019!! Again, connections are crazy...! The day they saw me at the fair, Candice emailed me when they got home. Apparently, they'd already been following me on Instagram and seeing me at the fair only cemented me in their brains even further! We booked that night and I was so excited to work with them and plan their engagement photos! Brendan's family has deep ties to Seattle and both he and Candise love spending time there, so Pike Place Market was a natural choice for their engagement session location! If it seems like there are more photos from this session than any other so far, there are! We went everywhere down there, including the infamous gum wall, Pike Brewing Company, Waterfront Park, the Seattle Great Wheel, and The Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar... just to name a few! (We were even there for during the few days when the Viaduct was still intact, but empty of all traffic due to the closure!) One of my favorite parts of the day was when we passed a man asking for $. Brendan went to give him some and the man asked for a hug. Brendan didn't hesitate and gave him the biggest hug ever... One of the best things unexpected things to happen - you'll see it below. Such a memorable afternoon with these guys! And, if you think they're sweet and good lookin' here, just WAIT until you see their wedding photos...
