If you're searching for the perfect location to take your engagement photos in Gig Harbor, Washington, look no further - you've come to the right spot! Being that I live in (and love) the city of Gig Harbor, I have locations that stand out to me as natural choices for engaged couples and photographers to consider when planning an engagement session. Whether you're from Gig Harbor or you plan to travel here to take your photos Washington's little "Maritime City" offers a great variety of stunning, fun, and perfectly PNW options! Check back as I'll continue to update this page with new locations!
1 - Ancich Park
An easy first choice in the heart of Gig Harbor is the beauty of Ancich Park. Located near the middle of "the harbor", this small park has lovely water views, benches for sitting and the perfect docks for watching seagulls and exploring with your partner. This location is especially lovely in the summer months if you want a little more privacy than the bigger and busier, Jerisich Park, would afford you. Street parking with bathrooms on site and wheelchair accessible.
Address: 3589 Harborview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98332

2 - Sehmel Homestead Park
If you're looking for a forested location near Gig Harbor, Sehmel Park is a great choice. Especially beautiful during the fall months, this park has several wooded trails and a large grassy hill to play on that glows as the sun sets! This is also a popular location for sports and games. To avoid the main areas with more people, park in the first lot to the left as you enter. Walk across the road to the dirt trail at the bottom of the hill, which will lead you to the woods and trails beyond.

3 - Bella Bella Beach/Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit Park
A favorite spot among locals and photographers, Bella Bella Beach is my go-to location for engagement photos in Gig Harbor. Though it's technically on Fox Island - not Gig Harbor proper - Bella Bella Beach is stunning! With its walkable beach, views of Mount Rainier, and wooded trails, it truly has something for everyone wanting engagement photos with a true PNW vibe! I love golden hour here because of the variety, but if you stick around past sunset, you'll also be treated to an epic blue hour on the beach.
